As part of the broader AACTA Festival program, masterclasses offer the chance to learn directly from the best in the business.
Past programs have featured some of Australia’s and the world’s most celebrated filmmakers, including director Michael Gracey (Better Man, The Greatest Showman), the Philippou brothers (Talk to Me) in conversation with George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road), and more.

The Education & Training booths showcase study and professional development opportunities for anyone seeking to build or enhance a screen career.
From Australia’s leading universities and TAFEs to specialist training providers, institutions will highlight programs that span creative disciplines like writing and directing through to technical crafts such as cinematography, editing, and visual effects.
INDUSTRY INSIGHTS
Gain insider advice on the roles, skills, and opportunities across the screen industry. These booths break down what different roles involve, the skills needed to succeed, and how each department contributes to bringing a project from script to screen.
Organised across six key areas: Above the Line, Production, Art, Camera & Lighting, Sound, and Post, each booth is staffed by industry professionals ready to share first-hand insights and advice.

Accommodation packages, travel arrangements, night activities are currently under negotiation. Estimate costs $130 per night per person (accommodation, breakfast and return travel from accommodation to day activities) - does not include extras such as night time activities, Movie World Experience or travel from your primary location to the Gold Coast.
