The AACTA Screen Careers Expo presented in partnership with Essential Screen Skills, is an annual single day event – staged as part of the AACTA Festival and AACTA Award ceremonies on the Gold Coast – that connects people interested in the Australian screen industry to relevant education, training, support and employment opportunities. The inaugural Screen Careers Expo (Feb 11 2024) saw nearly 3,000 attendees (including students from over 80 schools nationally), and included a bustling exhibition space with associated panels, workshops and masterclasses running throughout the day. Exhibitors this year included universities such as Bond University and AFTRS, businesses such as Cutting Edge and NEP, and organisations such as Screen Queensland and Essential Crew.
The inaugural event was incredibly popular, with exhibitors noting high levels of engagement and follow up, and in 2025 AACTA and Essential Screen Skills are excited to scale up to allow for a wider range of exhibitors from across Australia. AACTA invites businesses and organisations to express their interest in participating in Expo 25 through this form. To be staged at Home of the Arts Gold Coast in February 2025 the expo is the ideal place to elevate the profile of your operation to the general public, media and attending industry and we look forward to exploring the benefits this fast growing screen event can deliver for your organisation.
