Nick Waterman is an award-winning writer and director. His work examines aspects of Australian identity through poetic storytelling and strong graphic imagery. Thematically, Nick explores big ideas with personal, intimate sensibility. In 2017, Nick’s third short film ‘After the Smoke’ held its World Premiere at the 67th Berlinale and was nominated for a Crystal Bear award. In 2020, his fourth short ‘The Flame’ premiered at the 70th Berlinale. How to Make Gravy is his debut feature film.
