Nuala O'Halloran has over twenty years experience in the film, television and entertainment industries. She started her career in acquisitions at the Showtime Channels in Australia and went on to lead the department. Afterwards, she worked as Head of International Acquisitions at the studio distribution company UIP in London.  Nuala then took an extended career break returning to work at Warner Bros in Rome, Italy where she deepened her experience in theatrical distribution.  

Nuala has in addition worked on live events such as EXPO2020 in Dubai, and the World Cup in Qatar.  Transferring back to Australia, she produced the 2023 edition of BIFF,  in 2024 she both programmed and produced the Gold Coast Film Festival and BIFF along with Line Producing the documentary series BLACK SUNDAY.  

She is currently working on the GCFF2025 programme, and will produce the feature film AMNESIA from a script by Stephen Coates mid-year.  At the upcoming Berlin Film Festival Nuala will launch the theatrical distribution company KNIGHTCAP PICTURES with her Co- CEO Luke Wheatley.
