CEO of Screen Queensland
Welcome to the second AACTA Awards and Festival in the sunshine state! This year’s program offers an unmissable opportunity for audiences and screen practitioners to experience the best our industry has to offer.
Screen Queensland is proud to partner with the AACTAs team for an incredible five days of screen culture right here on the Gold Coast, a region which continues to be a national and international destination of choice for film and series production.
Through our collaboration with the AACTA Awards and Festival, the program this year invites attendees to dive into the diverse and ever-changing world of filmmaking with an array of local and international creative talent, including many people working on Queensland-based projects.
Screen Queensland looks forward to welcoming the wider industry here in February to celebrate screen excellence at the AACTA Awards Industry Gala and AACTA Awards Ceremony.
We are also excited about inspiring the next generation of screen practitioners throughout the festival, including at the popular Screen Careers Expo. The AACTAs is a true highlight of the Queensland events calendar, and I encourage
everyone to soak up the program just like the Gold Coast sun!
We can’t wait to once again roll out the red carpet for the AACTA Awards and Festival at HOTA, Home of the Arts and help showcase the best of Australia’s film and TV industry.
HOTA is more than just a venue – it’s a cultural hub for artistic expression and a place where new ideas are born. It’s a place where the magic of storytelling comes to life and where filmmakers, artists, performers and audiences come together to inspire.
This partnership is a natural and powerful one. We share a passion for showcasing Australian talent and amplifying the voices of those who shape our cultural narrative.
We look forward to welcoming thousands of screen professionals and fans in February and hope they can all take some time out of the spotlight and enjoy some time in the sunlight on the iconic Gold Coast.
