Find out EVERYTHING you need to know about building a career in the exciting screen industry at the 2025 AACTA Screen Careers Expo, presented by Essential Screen Skills. An invaluable opportunity for students and career changers alike, attendees will learn about all aspects of the screen industry, the many incredible career pathways on offer, and the education and training available to get them there.

Information booths on all jobs across the screen industry including the gaming sector, with professionals on hand to give a broader understanding of the roles in their respective department and what they entail, what an average day looks like, what they are responsible for and who they work closely with. They will provide a personal account of their individual career journey and discuss other possible pathways into that particular role.
Education and training booths from the major training and tertiary education providers in the region with staff will be on hand to discuss what training is available at their institution in line with student’s area of interest.
Employment booths and information on job opportunities directly from some of the region’s major screen employers.
Panels throughout the day including first-hand accounts of entering the screen industry, building a career in the online space, and touch and try workshops and technical craft explorations.

Essential Screen Skills is scoping feasibility for a Creative Industries Study Tour to complement the AACTA Festival, AACTA Screen Careers Expo and showcase what Gold Coast has to offer.
School groups self-select their level of engagement - 1 night, 2 night or 3 night stay.

Accommodation packages, travel arrangements, night activities are currently under negotiation. Estimate costs $130 per night per person (accommodation, breakfast and return travel from accommodation to day activities) - does not include extras such as night time activities, Movie World Experience or travel from your primary location to the Gold Coast.
