Meet our 2024 AACTA Festival Ambassadors

LINCOLN LEWIS

Australian Actor & Presenter

Lincoln Lewis is an Australian actor and presenter who appeared on Home and Away in 2007 making him a household name, winning a Logie for his role as Geoff Campbell, lasting 567 episodes until leaving to star in the largely popular film adaptation of Tomorrow, When the War Began - Released worldwide in 2010.

Following this, Lewis become a regular on Australian TV, with roles in Neighbours, Underbelly: Razor, House Husbands, SLiDE, Gallipoli, Tricky Business, Rescue: Special Ops, as well as making appearances as himself on Dancing with the Stars, Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation, Hell's Kitchen Australia, and Australia's Next Top Model.

Through the years, Lincoln's other film titles include the shark horror film Bait, Aussie rom-com Spin Out, sci-fi film After Earth - starring Will and Jaden Smith, and 33 Postcards alongside Guy Pearce which for his role, Lincoln won "Male Star of tomorrow" award at the Gold Coast's 2011 Australian International Movie Convention.

SAVANNAH LA RAIN

Actress

Savannah La Rain is an 18 year old Brisbane born actress with dual US citizenship. Raised in the world of dance, modelling and sports she found her passion for acting at the young age of 8 years old.

Experiencing many short films, tv commercials and extra roles, she earned her first credit as a young mermaid on Mako Secret Island at the age of 11.

Currently starring as “Bodhi” in series 1&2 of the Netflix series Surviving Summer, and Ashley in the Australian Feature Film Bosch and Rockit. Also working with Universal on an untitled Feature Film her talents were rewarded as a credited dancer on Dora the Explorer and travelled to Los Angeles to work alongside John Stamos as basketballer “Kate” in Disney Plus Big Shot Series 2. Additionally, Savannah played the lead role of “Elki” in the short horror film Here There Be Monsters, earning her multiple Best Actress awards. Pop Horror concludes with 'Savannah Foran-McDaniel delivers a performance worthy of Oscar'.

“I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with AACTA as an ambassador as when I heard the awards were being held on the Gold Coast in 2024, I was already thrilled and preparing to attend, as it will be such a rare opportunity to be in the room with so many of Australia’s greatest talent. It is a little surreal that I will now be involved in promoting the festival and after getting the inside information on the new and exciting program that will be announced for 2024, I can’t wait for everyone to get the chance to experience and benefit from this in some way.”

CHRIS ALOSIO

Generational Talent

Generational talent, Chris Alosio recently finished production on the Warner Brothers’ feature film HOW TO MAKE GRAVY alongside Hugo Weaving and Dan Henshall which is set to be released in 2024. Racking up a loaded resumé in a short number of years, his body of work has gained international acclaim at a consistent rate with films such as the trailblazing A24 feature from RackaRacka brothers: TALK TO ME which has become an instant cult classic accumulating near $100 million at the worldwide box office and a confirmed sequel. He will also be seen alongside Elisabeth Moss and Michael Fassbender in Taika Waititi’s highly anticipated feature film NEXT GOAL WINS which will release in Australian cinemas in the new year. 

Alosio is also a favoured selection on the ABC comedy and drama slates in TV series such as THE MESSENGER, TROPPO, GOLD DIGGERS and the Netflix series SURVIVING SUMMER. Whilst in his second year of drama school, Chris was cast as a lead in the Foxtel series FIGHTING SEASON, then went on to graduate from New Zealand’s leading drama school, Toi Whakaari. In 2019, Chris was awarded the AACTA Subscription Television Award for Best New Male Talent for his performance in the series.

Australia has churned out world class stories and talent for years, and the AACTAs have been right there with us acknowledging the tough behind-the-scenes yakka that goes into nurturing our craft and telling these much needed stories. Lachlan & Austin Macfarlane are multi-disciplined filmmakers and content creators, whose creative work has amassed over 100 million views online.

Since starting their filmmaking journey in primary school, Lachlan & Austin have transformed from young visionaries into award-winning filmmakers. After receiving accolades from Trop Jr, the Bond University Film and Television Awards and the ATOM Awards, the Macfarlane Brothers took to social media to translate their filmmaking prowess into engaging and shareable content.

Since 2022, they have amassed hundreds of millions of views across their social media platforms, travelled the world working with brands such as Warner Bros, Sony Pictures and Amazon Prime, worked in post-production on over 10 feature films and been highly commended by the Australian Influencer Marketing Council Awards. They represented Australia at Cannes after winning the 2023 Cannes Young Lions Film category. In the ever-evolving landscape of digital entertainment, Lachlan & Austin Macfarlane are successfully navigating the intersection of social and traditional media.
