Karen Radzyner

Karen Radzyner joined Photoplay Films as Executive Producer and Head of Development in early 2022. Previously a commissioning editor at SBS where she commissioned several award-winning digital series HOMECOMING QUEENS; THE TAILINGS and anthology series QUEER FOR SHORT. In December 2023, she won the Content London Drama Series Pitch Competition with SONG OF THE SUN GOD, an adaptation of Miles Franklin-award-winning novelist Shankari Chandran’s best-selling book.

In 2023 she released two series she produced – multi-award winning AACTA-nominated SBS Digital Original APPETITE, which launched in the Short Form Competition at CanneSeries 2023 and AACTA-nominated ABC ME’s THE DISPOSABLES, which premiered at the inaugural SXSW Sydney. Previously she produced multi-award-winning TV mini-series – ABC’s PAPER GIANTS (2011) and Nine’s TWO TWISTED (2006); as well as indie feature, BEING VENICE (2012) before a decade in development and finance roles at Scott Free London, SBS, Screen Australia and Screen NSW.

Photoplay Films has premium series, co-productions and films at various stages of development, production and release with Cineflix, Transmission, Umbrella Films, ABC, SBS, Screen Australia and Screen NSW.

Lakota Johnson

Lakota Johnson is an actor living between Queensland and Los Angeles and enjoys entertaining his committed TikTok and insta followers. He has a fun, supporting role in Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. 

He can also be seen in the Peacock series, JOE VS. CAROLE fka JOE EXOTIC and KING KONG VS GODZILLA. 

Other credits include, DORA THE EXPLORER, YOUNG ROCK and #BLACK-AF.

Lakota recently performed in MAMA MIA! live at the Star Casino in the Gold Coast. 

Kristina Chapman (Moderator)

Kristina is a researcher interested in online media content creation, specifically TikTok. Throughout the past few years, she has written and spoken about the evolution of participatory culture through the lens of TikTok; pulled a part story structures within the 7-second, 15-second and 1-minute video formats; and has investigated the merits of the participatory and self-reflexive documentary modes through the format of TikTok via the creation of Finding Culture - a mini documentary series where Kristina learns more about her Filipino culture through her mum. Kristina works full-time as the Head of Screen Production at the Australian Performing Arts Conservatory in Brisbane.
